Shouse Ford

The campground is in a great place on the lake. We stayed in site 20 for 12 days,which is great for campers with children. One problem is the fact that site 19 is literally 3 feet from the back of our camper. We could actually hear the man snoring at night.

We had a great time! Clean bathrooms and a playground were amazing. Only complaint was excessive bird poop all in front of the water in the swimming area, but it was manageable. Everything else was awesome!

It was very disappointing. We have been going to the park since the late 70's. It has many great memories. But will not be back. Grass not mowed, sites are horrible (nothing has been done to improve them). It is a shame that no money can be spent on this park. It used to always be full but now not even on weekend. It has so many water site that you just keep losing money on this Campground. Your loss!

It was very clean with beautiful trees for plenty of shade also easy access to the launch our boat.

Always love camping at Shouse Ford except this trip was not as enjoyable because of the heavy rain and some storms and the cooler temps. The rain was so much that the lake kept coming up each day and made parking the boats at the sites a problem. The rain stopped and the temps got warm just as we had to go home.

Our first time there and it was wonderful. We kayaked, walked the road , and had a great time. Liked it so well we are going back in July.

I wish some more rv pads and the roads could be updated a bit. The speed bump right in front of 91 will leave you with a flat (has happened to me) I’ve reported it but alas it’s still broken. Even so, Shouse is my favorite campground with the best family friendly campers around. We’ve learned to navigate around pot holes and ditches and to stay left of the speed bump.
