This is a very nice Corps of Engineers campground on the Arkansas River. There are actually 2 campgrounds, one larger and more spacious than the other. We stayed in space B-15 which was a very large campsite with plenty of room and nice views of the river with water and electric service. T-Mobile cell signal was not strong in the park for those who need cell coverage. For us it was just fine. We stayed here in a 30 foot 5th wheel.

We had a good campsite and enjoyed the whole park. Showers were bad, water to hot but they were fixed /repaired.
The locks observation areas should be reopened to the puplic. Good trails to walk and good dumpsite.
We have camped here many years and will be back.

Disappointed that this Army Corps of Engineers campground does not have handicap sites. We miss the previous hosts that manned the booth. They were very friendly unlike the hosts that were in the booth last fall. Otherwise the campground is great. Love watching the barges that pass by.

They were holding bicycle races there the day I was leaving and the organizers felt it was appropriate to close the roadways leading out of the campground. They were very rude about it and delayed my departure for over an hour when I had a 13 hour drive to get back home. The dump station is very difficult to access as well with longer trailers and needs reworking.

This is a nice campground, very large. There is a playground. Not a lot to do but convenient to town. We were camping at Springhill for a Mountain Bike Race. We liked the spot we picked out because of the access to the trails to watch the race. We did not utilize the restrooms. We stayed on the B side. However, If possible, next time we would stay on the A side. The sites seem much nicer. My only complaint/problem we had was the gentleman who was staying in our site before us, decided to dump his black tank at the site instead of going to the dump station!! We informed the camp host about it. They didn't offer any help to clean/prepare the site for us. I had to go to the store to get bleach to clean off the pad. (Keep in mind the temps were pushing 100 degrees! We couldn't switch sites because they were booked for the weekend. That was very unfortunate.
