What Guests Are Saying

Toad Suck Campground offers a beautiful setting right on the Arkansas River, with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a pleasant place for camping. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, good fishing opportunities, and the chance to watch boats navigate through the locks. However, concerns were raised about highway noise, traffic from non-campers, and limited bathroom facilities during peak times, which could affect the overall experience.

As we entered we were welcomed by the friendly helpful host. The park is well maintained. We loved the paved roads and paved sites. Walking around the park is so enjoyable. The upgrade of cement picnic areas at each site is so nice. The dump was easier to get in and out compared to many. A water hose at the dump station was welcomed. We love this park.

Nice location along Arkansas River. Bathhouses were clean and well maintained. Campground hosts were very friendly.

Bathhouses were very distant to our campsite on loop C - you must either walk across a grassy field with sand spurs or a long way around via paved roads. There are also several tree stumps close to the road on loop C one must be careful of.

We had a wonderful time! My sisters stayed with me the first 2 days. We caught up on old stories and made new ones. We also visited the pumpkin patch and ate fish from the food truck and went to Toad Suck Bucks for dinner. No cooking for us,🙂
Later in the week our son and his family came for dinner. The weather was excellent and the campsite was peaceful.
The folks who check you in are friendly and the grounds and bathrooms are the best you will find at any campground. My husband and I enjoyed walking, riding bikes, and visiting with other campers. We had shade most of the day so we sat outside watching football and embroidering. Can’t wait to reserve another week.
