What Guests Are Saying
Pine Ridge campground near De Queen Lake is praised for its cleanliness, particularly the bathrooms, which are noted as some of the best campers have experienced. Visitors appreciate the beautiful scenery, access to trails and fishing, and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a favored spot for return visits. However, some maintenance issues, such as litter and the need for better upkeep of campsites, have been highlighted, along with occasional concerns about fellow campers' behavior.

Beautiful and quiet, it was amazing to watch the sunsets. Shower and bathrooms were always clean and maintained. Beautiful place to stay for any amount of time.

Poor management of maintenance for this area. The BBQ grill at site 41 was broken and I call and requested it to be replaced the day of arrival. We were there 14 days and no one ever came. Also the leaves were so piled up around the grill and wall behind it it would require a shovel to remove our leaf blower would not budge them. When renting on line these are older pictures if it had shown a broken grill I would have gotten another site while available.

One of our go to parks. Nice sites. Need to know the dump station is at the entrance and is not blue tot friendly and is pretty far from campsites . We camped in November and the ants took over the camper in a couple of days. Ants was a problem with everyone we talked to so be ready with the ant bait.

We stayed in site 35 which was a pull thru for our 34’ A-class motorhome pulling a Jeep. It had a permanent shelter that covered a very large picnic table. Three other couples joined us in sites 34-32 next to ours in their campers. Three of the couples including us had dogs. These sites are not very handy to walking areas for our dogs. The sites overlook the lake which is nice but getting down to the level area next to the water isn’t easy. There are stairs next to site 32 but after the end of the stairs the slope is still steep for us older folks. The road going away from site 35 to walk your dog to a grassy area isn’t handy either but better than the stairs by site 32. If you don’t have pets then the sites were great. EXCEPT for the awful sugar ants!!!!!
So be prepared! We all had to combat these awful pests! And because of that we probably will rethink coming back. I know that sounds trivial but after a week of fighting them you can’t wait to leave! And the weather was warmer than usual and the leaves weren’t as pretty as in the past, but hard to control Mother Nature.
Overall we had a good time with our friends.
