Nice site! This seems to be the largest site in this part of the campground, so it’s a little more private. Has stairs down to the river with a nice little landing area. We loved watching all the birds by the river in the morning. Unfortunately, the campsite was littered with trash. I didn’t get the impression they are cleaning in between campers, outside of the fire ring. Great location for visiting Eureka Springs!

I don't understand why the bathrooms are not open in this area if the campground is open. It is also a very popular area for fisherman and this leaves them with no facilities. This just makes for more of a mess. Otherwise, we love this site.

I got to the campground on a Saturday and someone had booked my site for the day before (Friday). When I got there, the person had parked a camper in my spot and left. I called the number for Recreation.gov and they couldn't help me, but they gave me another number to call that never answered. I ended up sitting around in another spot until 8:30pm waiting for this person to return to leave and they never did. I eventually just packed up and left because all the campsites filled up.
Moral of the story is that there is no accountability and no authority to deal with site disputes. It's a first come first serve free for all.
It ruined my trip. Also, it's worth noting that the cell service is terrible.
