The site is a bit deceiving by sight. There is a dip in the drive that made the unhook from truck difficult. Had to have two blocks under front end levelers. The reservation site says water/electric and we arrived to a locked faucet. November 30 - Dec 1. There was no rate adjustment for that either. I tried through recreation.gov and was told to do that through the facility, where the gatehouse is locked up for the winter. Otherwise a pretty little park, very very quiet until someone fires up the loud diesel early a.m. or arrives late (after 10 pm) and bangs around setting up. Our site had a nice path to the river with some stone steps. Fish were not biting. Cold. Most the sites are long enough to accommodate bigger rigs. Ours had 50 amps.

It is a beautiful campground with large sites and we have camped there several times. However, this trip we arrived to find the water faucets padlocked at the sites even though the water was on in the campground and it was not below freezing at night. There was NO NOTICE that water could not be accessed at the site on the booking site or on the Beaver Lake website or even at the unmanned entrance booth (which did have other info posted). This information should be provided so campers can decide whether to visit that campground. I would not have driven 6 hours to camp there if I had been advised in advance as there are plenty of other places to camp that have water available at the site.

Love camping at Parker Bottoms, other than not having water at the site. Easy river access, quiet.

One of our go-to places. Just wish that it was open longer than the end of October. Easy access to a walk-in trout fishing area, boat launch is just a couple of minutes down the road.
