When driving from Garfield to Lost Bridge North watch out for the sorry drivers that don’t stay on there side of the yellow line.

We found it to be a very well-kept park and it was nice to have a clean site when we arrived. The showers are pretty far away, you need a car to get to them. However, they were very clean.

I'll stay was really nice, we stayed in site 4. Amazing view very nice area. Our only real complaint was the cleanliness of the Drop toilets.

1) Lack of 50 amp electric service.
2) Vault toilet uncleaned for several days, and when it was clean, poorly done.
3) Lack of controlled access - numerous unregistered day users. Only 1 interaction with C of E or Ranger service in 8 days of camping.
Comment: This campground is in serious need of rehabilitation, and has been neglected since I started camping there 18 years ago. I will visit again Memorial Day 2022; if no significant rehab by that visit, I'll no longer make the drive from Kansas City. This is a sad commentary on Corps of Engineers management of a facility.

Absolutely loved it here. Very spacious lots and plenty of trees. Lake was a beautiful blue. When taking a walk met several nice people also camping. Will definitely go back again.

Nice arrangement of terraced sites, good view of lake from #2. Might be noisy when busy, but great in October. Too many curves on road getting there.

The area is lovely, but aging badly in places. The part of the campground where we stayed has asphalt pads, which are crumbling. In our site, there was a 4-6" drop off right where the camper door sits, causing a serious risk for tripping. We had to position the camper carefully to avoid the worst of the damage. Some sites were crumbled even worse, too narrow to hold the camper. Other than this, the campground is very lovely but hilly. Some of the loops are very steep, but once you are there, the sites appear to be nice. You'll want to use your own internal toilet and showers, though. The pit toilets are smelly and uncomfortable, and the shower house is a long ways away and also pretty primitive.

The shower house is probably 1.5 to 2 miles from the camp area. Very disappointing. We stayed in mid October and the showers may have even been closed. We didn't check it out because they were so far away. However, there is a flush toilet facility right in the camping area that was open. There needs to be a shower in the camping area so that campers don't have to get in a vehicle and drive to them.
