GeneralUSACE is planning the drawdown in a partnership with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is expected to begin May 1, 2026, when the lake will be lowered to elevation 374. The lake is expected to reach this elevation by July 25, 2026, and will remain at this elevation until Nov. 1, 2026. The lake will gradually return to elevation 384, depending upon rainfall. During phase two of the drawdown, designated swimming areas within the parks will be closed. Boat access will be limited to a temporary ramp located at Ashley Creek Park. Water activities such as skiing, tubing and the use of personal watercraft will be prohibited. Boaters visiting the lake during this time are encouraged to use extreme caution due to shallow water and submerged hazards. The Ants!!!! They took over everything. They were in our camper they got in our cars my grandkids car seats it was the most miserable trip we have ever had the even got in the boat and the water was nasty

If you want TV must have satellite service... (that was the only bad point, everything else was great.)

General
- We have combined the Waveland and Outlet gatehouses to more efficiently serve you. We are using the Outlet area gatehouse only. It is located at the top of the hill directly in front of the project office.
- All sites are reservable.
- Park attendants are on duty.
- Certain areas of the lake and parks may close due to high lake levels or storm damage
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
