What Guests Are Saying
John F. Kennedy campground is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and spacious campsites, making it a favorite destination for families and fishing enthusiasts. The hiking trails, particularly near Collins Creek, offer enjoyable experiences for all ages. While there are suggestions for improvements such as better internet service and more frequent trash pickup, the overall sentiment is very positive, with many campers expressing a desire to return.

Great little park. Nice bathrooms. The only thing that could make it better is if they controlled the weather or high water due to the dam.

The Checkout/Checkin time was later than most (3PM?). We had to wait about an hour to get into our spot. Most of the campers when we were there mid-week in October were there to fish and seemed in no hurry to leave. The campground was pretty full. C loop where we were was almost totally shaded, no satellite signal. The Verizon signal was adequate and our visible phone that we use as a hotspot was fast enough to stream one TV with no issues. Never did see staff except for the trash pickup. There was a fire ban, but some campers still had fires. The County Sheriff did visit one site that had a fire.

We went solely to trout fish and we were very impressed. Therefore, we rescheduled another trip lately. Of course, we plan on returning numerous times our campsite was right on the river and easily accessible.
