What Guests Are Saying
John F. Kennedy Park offers a beautiful and well-maintained camping experience with spacious, clean sites and friendly staff. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, stunning scenery, and excellent fishing opportunities, particularly for rainbow trout. While some minor issues, like parking in front of campsites and occasional facility concerns, were noted, the overall consensus is that it's a favorite destination for camping and relaxation.

We had people next to us play music loud all night long ! It was still going at 6am ! Went to the booth and noone was there all weekend ! It said they opened at 10am I was there at 10 am and sign said be back in 10 min , 2 hours later still no one and they didn’t show up all weekend long ! First time camping at any sight around Heber that no one was at the booth ! We got there Friday around 5:30 so we never even was able to check in and get a pass !

Excellent facilities with nice lots. On the river makes this spot ideal for fishing. Hatchery is an added attraction.

First of all your reservation system is the worst I've seen. My wife and I are seniors and is was very difficult to understand and navigate. I called and a lady said you could not just drive up and pay for a site that was not reserved? Why make it so hard for seniors who do not do well on computers? She said you took over the system 2 years ago. Second, the rest room between the A and B campsites was the worst I've ever seen in my life, anywhere! And it stayed that way for a couple of days. Of course the Hatchery visitor center was closed so we didn't know who to notify. I'm not talking dirty, it was nasty with feces splattered all over the place and the toilet maybe stopped also, for several days! So we were not impressed at all. And why in the world were all the visitor centers closed? Do you people go to the grocery store, church, get a haircut, go to Lowes, or Walmart? Sure you do, so why close a visitor center where a few people come in every day? This part and area is a perfect example of government disfunction. Tax payers are not getting much for their money with your guys.

One of our favorite places. Beautiful area with many things to do. Heber Springs is a wonderful town. The grandkids love it there. Red River is beautiful.

Loved it here! So many friendly people. Nice hiking, fishing and canoeing! Some sites have no water which was our case. There is a water source not far off. Restrooms were clean and hotter shower than other government campgrounds we had been to!
