This park is one of the worst on the lake. No renovations or update have occurred in a century. A campsites are some of the best and on the water, but do not have electricity! B is atrocious for ticks! B also has dirt around the picnic tables, where other parks have tiny gravel and wood borders to keep it nice. When it rains it’s a mud bog around your tent or camper! Limbs everywhere. C is the same as B. Come on let’s do better and use some tax dollars to make improvements to this park.

Beautiful, roomy campsites. They are all close to the lake with a nice beach area and beautiful views of Sugar Loaf. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with good information and suggestions. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and roomy.

Outstanding. Loop C is the best, plenty of space.

Stayed in sites C2, C3, and C4 for the weekend of the 2024 solar eclipse. The campsites are very spacious with lots of room for tents, hammocks, games, etc. Restrooms were clean and the showers were warm with good water pressure. The well spaced pine trees provided nice shade during the day, but there was still enough break in the canopy to see some stars at night. Greers Ferry Lake was clean and inviting although the water was a little chilly in April. If you’re looking to hike nearby I would recommend Bluffton Preserve and Sugarloaf Mountain. Overall the stay was very enjoyable and I would camp there again if ever in the area. Only two potential drawbacks:
1. The swim beach is just an old concrete boat ramp and it gets kind of slick under the water.
2. The powerful marina lights seep into the campground in some spots. But this can be worked around with thoughtful tent placement.

Awesome spot by the lake. No running water by sites or at the toilet unfortunately.

This was my family’s first time camping at Sugar Loaf. We enjoyed our time in the park, but it was average. The site we stayed in (B13) was clean and level. Our camper set up nice and easy. The sites here have 30 amp power, but NO water at the campsite. We knew this ahead of time and filled our hold tank and brought extra water. Not the end of the world, but water at the sites would be nice. The public bathrooms were clean for a campground, and everything worked. Our main disappointment was the lack of things to do in the park. There was a very small playground that the kids enjoyed, but that’s about it. We love to fish and sadly there were no areas to fish from the bank without literally being in someone else’s camp site. We wanted to fish near the marina but they do not allow fishing in that area. If you can bring a boat with you the lake looked beautiful and I’m sure you could have a great time. The park is good for what it is, just have realistic expectations.

We were not thrill with this spot. The area is nice but the campsite next to you, their picnic table is behind your camper. In my opinion the picnic table needs to be moved to their area.
Also, the ants were real bad here. We will bring ant spray next time.
