What Guests Are Saying
Piney Bay Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with spacious, clean campsites near the water, making it ideal for relaxation and family activities. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff, clean restrooms, and beautiful views, particularly for fishing and kayaking. While some sites may have leveling issues and occasional noise from nearby boats and trains, the overall experience is positive, with many campers planning to return.

Great camping area. Geared towards kids so if you want a place to kick back and enjoy the silence, this may not be the place for you. It doesn't bother us, but it may some folks. The fishing is just okay. We had 6 of 25 trout line clips disappear. all the other lines were empty. Can't figure out how they came off without a little help.
We enjoy Piney, its close and most spots have good shade. Bathrooms are always clean, and the showers are hot.

We love camping at this park. There are some maintenance issues they have told us they are working to resolve, but otherwise, it is a beautiful park. We enjoy walking, biking, swimming, and skiing.

Site D3 was really beautiful. Plenty of shade early in the day. Short walk to the bathroom/showers although we never used it. Was able to dump gray water. We will definitely be back.

Park is not kept up like it was years ago. The fire pits are not cleaned out debris on campsites just all around unkempt liking. The gatekeeper is never at the gatehouse or maybe there is just no gatekeeper anymore. Makes me sad to see this. The electricity also goes on land off a lot. The breaker boxes are ancient.

We have been going to Piney bay for over 40 years. We love the park but are dissatisfied with the fact that the dump station has been in need of repair for 2 years.
