Piney Bay Campground is a great little escape on the water between Russellville and Clarksville. The proximity to the water is what keeps us coming back. It is the perfect place to camp out and kayak and swim. The facilities are always clean and the staff is friendly. Check out Piney Paddles for kayak rentals on the bay!

Lovely little campground. Spaces were well situated with lake views. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Bonus - there is a playground for the kiddos.

Very good spot to camp the view is great. Note: There is little room for a tent on level ground and it would be hard to back a camper into the spot. Because of this, choose spots 11 or 13 as they have more room.

This campground is in a quiet location which some camp sites close to the water and with a good host who was prompt to greet us on arrival and help us find our spot. Beware that some of the campsites away from the water are on the side of the hill with a very steep slope to back up to get into the site. However, the site itself was reasonably level. condition of the site itself was good. There were a lot of downed trees in the area close to the sites but the sites themselves were clear. The last stretch road to the campground is a very steep downhill to watch out for. The dump site was level and worked well for emptying the tanks. There was good shade.

This was our 1st time to camp at Piney Bay. Pros: Spacious campsites, clean campground, clean bathrooms. Flat camper pads. The view of the beach and lake were great!
Cons: we are tent campers. No tent pads or level spots for the tent. We ended up putting the tent on the camper pad. No convenient place to fill water jugs. The spicket was too close to the ground to get a bucket under.

We had a great time!!
