What Guests Are Saying
Piney Bay Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with spacious, clean campsites near the water, making it ideal for relaxation and family activities. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff, clean restrooms, and beautiful views, particularly for fishing and kayaking. While some sites may have leveling issues and occasional noise from nearby boats and trains, the overall experience is positive, with many campers planning to return.

Had a great weekend there. We did have a storm blow in that knocked a few trees over. The core came and cleaned it up mostly. Our spot was right on the water for us and some friends in the next site. There is no water at this site. We split with our friends next site over and it still took 150' of hose to reach our 30' camper. Great lake access, but being close to the ramp you are also close to all boats coming in and out. Swim beach is in walking distance and very nice

I’ve been going camping here with my family for years now and idk when or if he’s always been there but the current camp ground host just isn’t as pleasant as most. Otherwise we love everytime we camp here. Clean bathrooms. A family came down as they were checking out knowing we were staying another night and told us they had left some firewood for us at their campsite and we couldn’t even get down there quick enough because the campground house was scavenging the sites for all of the wood and kindling

We really enjoyed this campground! It was very spacious, you weren’t crammed in. We had a RV back in spot that was very spacious and quite level. The sunsets were beautiful. The Campground hosts were very helpful.

Piney Bay was a last minute decision as I was driving from Arizona back to my home in North Carolina. There was no problem getting a reservation online and my site backed up to the lake, which was a lovely view. Although it had been raining, it was still a pleasant stay overnight and the hot showers were a welcomed addition. I was not able to take more time to explore more of the park, but I would not hesitate to stay there again. The sites were well-spaced and I had not problem leveling my 25 ft Class C. Thank you for the experience!

Frank was very helpful in helping me get backed into my spot. He also mowed quite a bit. It’s a beautiful big park and I was able to visit some other parks in the area. The only bad thing were the flies.
