What Guests Are Saying
Dam - Quarry campground is praised for its beautiful scenery, well-kept grounds, and great trout fishing in the Norfork River. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and friendly park staff, with several expressing a strong desire to return. However, there are concerns about the cleanliness of the bathrooms and some facilities needing maintenance, which some attribute to the behavior of other campers rather than park management.

All was excellent except the cleaning crew for the bath rooms. They did clean them but left standing water from their pressure washer. I don't think they ever used a mop The floor was dangerous. I did complain to. a female ranger.

I was surprised at the reduced grass cutting that the USACE did in the campground. I agree not cutting the open field areas should remain uncut but the area down by the river, the areas around the camp sites and a larger area around the playground equipment should have been cut. I can only imagine how many of the young children as well as the adults out with their children felt having to address the chiggers from the high grass. Shame to those who man-dated the orders.
On a better note, the newer of the shower facilities was open and repairs had been made to the damage done by humans using the facility. Thanks to the USACE Dam Quarry team for addressing the problem and getting the repairs done.
Wish the condition of the grounds had been better.

The weather with pouring rain caused us to have to cancel our picnic on Memorial Day. We were unable to utilize the area after paying 50 dollars to reserve it. No bad weather cancellation policy.

Our campsite was overrun with houseflies!! We literally killed 100s each day with a fly scatter while also hanging fly ribbons, which had to be replaced at least twice daily
Never again!!!! We've been camping here for more than 25 years and never experienced anything like it.

Not so calm this week with the construction at the boat ramp from 7:30 am to 4:30pm! Would have been nice to have advance notice so we could have possibly changed facilities. Other than that, it was clean and well maintained as usual.
