What Guests Are Saying

Joplin Campground offers stunning views, ample space, and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a great choice for families and outdoor enthusiasts. While the campground is well-maintained with helpful staff, there is a recurring issue with ants and some uneven terrain that could be challenging for larger RVs. Overall, visitors appreciate the scenic beauty and facilities, although some suggest improvements in pest control and road conditions.

Beautiful lake views. More primative than most. Mostly gravel. Not suitable for really big campers, which I like. Very quiet and relaxing. Even though the Lake is down due drought it was still beautiful and easy to kayak around.

Beautiful area. Facilities are decent. Quartz everywhere! Pretty quartz all over the ground is a double edge sword as it makes the tent floor very uncomfortable to walk on barefoot even with tarp. But overall really nice campgrounds. Will definitely come back.

Loved the location and it’s a beautiful place. I just wish that the campsite would have had more level ground space to pitch a tent.

Though it was super windy, the site was gorgeous! We went when it was suppose to be chilly and it was great! Great Lake view and nicely tucked away from other noises. We did hear a few dogs late at night whining and yelping. But overall it was great! My only concern for the site, is they post on their site when there is a burn ban in effect. We are out of state and didn’t know until we showed up to check in. So, we had to research on what it meant and what we could and couldn’t do.
