Tompkins Bend at Lake Ouachita is a very nice spot that we thoroughly enjoy. Most sites are roomy, and the bath houses are clean. This is an older campground, but it remains nice and maintained fairly well. I don't think they mow very often, but that wasn't a big deal for us. Sites on the waterfront are hard to get, but access to shore or swimming areas is easy and no problem. Lots of large hardwood shade trees over most of this campground are a plus as well.

This campground is very well maintained. The spots are shady and there's plenty of space between them. We had a peaceful visit and will return.

We are here about every other weekend and again not disappointed! From check in at the booth to our sweet campground host you will not be disappointed. Grounds are kept up and the bathrooms and showers are always the cleanest we have ever seen. We love coming to our home away from home. Thank you Tompkins Bend for a great summer!
