The campsites are awesome and several are close the lake where you can tie your boat up, level pads, lots of shade, showers and bathrooms on every loop! The campground hosts/ attendants and rangers are top notch and very helpful when needed!

Stayed in 27b with a 43 foot 5th wheel. Miss Cindy was wonderful.. She helped insure i was able to fit my monster 5th wheel in my spot.

The camp hosts were very nice and friendly. camp site 62 was roomy. Bathrooms were very outdated with rust on vents and fixtures. Water and electric worked well. This is a beautiful gramp ground, but has a run down appearance. Please update it.

Older campground which needs some upgrades. Lake access was the best. Sites need new resurfacing and leveling. No deer connection were available.

When we arrived at site 27B there was a huge RV blocking our view of the lake. I talked with a Ranger and asked if we could move one site over to 25B in which she checked and the site was not going to be occupied during our stay and the Ranger was able to quickly move us. Very nice Ranger and we were thankful for her professional approach to us the customer.

Sites are pretty. Many are a bit difficult to park as there are many close trees. It is shady and beautiful.

Tompkins Bend is accessible via US 270, which is approximately 10.7 miles from Mount Ida and 24.5 miles from Hot Springs.

Policies & Rules
General
- No off-road vehicles allowed in park
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Check-Out time is 4pm and Check-In time is 6pm
- Camper Self-Check In Cards are located at the entrance of the campground. Please grab a card apon entry, fill it out and attach it to your campsite post. A ranger will verify the information written on the card later and check you in.
