We spent 4 nights during Columbus Day weekend. It’s a nice place to camp, quiet and sites spread out. Unfortunately, we camped the weekend before the federal government shut down that was averted last minute. Some workers may have decided to take leave and not show up. The trash cans near our site were overflowing and the RV dump station was closed and campers were asked to go to nearby campgrounds instead. The day we left, the bins were emptied and the dump station was open. We were relieved not to drive to another campground just to empty our tanks. All in all, we would still camp here whenever we can’t get a site at Lake Ouachita State Park campground.

Very small campsite but the camping was great. It was very peaceful and quiet! Beautiful location just wish we’d have had a bit more room

We had a great experience at this campground. The hosts were friendly and helpful, the campground was clean and I was really impressed how clean they kept their bathrooms. The sites were spacious as well. Excellent tree coverage but also beautiful views of the lake. There was even a playground the kids could play on toward the entrance of the camp. We will definitely come again!

A beautiful and serene campground! The bathrooms and showers are warm and clean. Noticed a few reviews mentioned a sewer smell from bathrooms but it’s actually likely from a camper as I never noticed a smell from bathrooms but occasionally from the camper next door. The campsites are large. But if your are tent camping be sure to check descriptions because we did have a bit of a slope.
