Tompkins Bend on Lake Ouachita is a great place to camp with the family. The playgrounds for kids, trails to hike, or just relaxing next to the water, it's a fun place to stay. Great fishing as well. If you get a chance, go the Shangri-La Resort and get a slice of the homemade pie. Just like Grandma used to make..............

We had site #2 and #3. Super nice and water on three sides of the sites. Could land dock your boats very close to your sites. All in all very nice and quiet area of Thompkins bend. Nice showers area, kept up daily.
Definitely would stay again.
No sewer hookups
