Nice area, easy launch of boat, but the camp areas are close and small, not much room for a large trailer.

The most amazing campground that my family and I have been to. We’re from Indians so we had no idea what we were coming to and we were all just in awe with the beauty of the lake! Let alone the 2 bald eagles and countless bard owls that helped make our experience 1 of a kind. We went to crater of diamonds and crystal vista from here, a bit of a far drive but well worth it. Crater of Diamonds is worth it if you find a diamond, otherwise it’s a lot of work for very little reward. Crystal vista blew our minds! An insanely beautiful mile and a half hike up to the top and we found some incredible quartz! Just watch for the poison ivy!! The bathrooms at the campground were super clean and the showers were great too. Make sure to bring your own hand soap! We will certainly be back to Cowhide Cove for more!

We have stayed at Cowhide Cove several times and love the privacy and beauty the campsites offer. Have seen bald eagles every time. Keep in mind that the lower level sites can flood in the spring months during strong storms. We have had to relocate before due to flooding.
Otherwise, highly recommend!!
