Bathroom by the play ground was very dirty. A lot of loud music after 11 pm on Saturday. When I went to turn water off, I had to get channel locks just to get it turned off so I could unhook my fresh water hose

Very clean and quiet campground looking over the beautiful waters of Shoal Bay. One of our favorites.

We love camping at Shoal Bay, but this time our campsite had fire ants at the picnic table. When we told the maintenance and camp greeters about it, we were told they were not allowed to do anything with them.

Nice campground, all campsites and roads easily marked to find unassisted, camp host met us as we were getting set up. He checked us in and made sure to ask if we had any questions. Only has 30amp at most of the sites, which was adequate for our needs. All sites have a fire ring with fold over grill attached. Dump station is located at front gate area. It was a Saturday night so there were a few campers in the area having some music and singing around their firepit but that was quieted down at a reasonable hour. Lots of good fishing spots and wonderful hiking trail up to bridge rock. Definitely coming back.

Grass was tall , nobody at check in , was there 8 nights and not one time did anyone come around and make sure that it was us in the spot, when we was leaving , man came running out of his camper and ask what site we was leaving 🤷🏼 he said so he would know it was empty, trail by lake had so much trash on it, worst i had ever seen it

We love shoal bay it’s one of our favorite spots. Park attendants are super friendly. Park is alway clean and well maintained. Sites are very nice with plenty of space!

Been going here for years. Gate attendant does not need to do that job. Came to my site at F3 and said I was suppose to leave because I wasnt paid for that spot after I already checked in. I had my reservation copies with me and he said he didnt care. He told me to call and get you to fix. I said no, you go call, I have my proof and reservation numbers right here I paid and showed him. After a couple of hours of really ruining my day, I drove up to gate house when he quit coming down and said we are good. He called someone and said you were right. Horrible experience in the middle of a large crowd. He needs to retire and go somewhere else.
Sure do miss Gary as gate attendant. He was camped right beside us. He was one of the reasons we went there.

- NOTICE: Group shelters are open for reservations, Please follow all CDC/State guidelines for social distancing, sanitizing, and face covering for COVID-19. NOTE: A special event application is required for any event including, but not limited to one or more of the following: 1. An entry, spectator, or participating fee is charged 2. If you have an anticipated attendance of 100 or more persons 3. An extraordinary impact on project resources is expected 4. Corps personnel provide additional patrols, surveillance, refuse collection, and/or crowd control 5. Event involves the use of concession tents and/or vendors 6. Event involves Bounce Houses/Bump N Jump Inflatables 7. Fishing Tournament 8. Music Festival: In addition to the special event application, you may be asked to submit the following information before approval can be granted: (1) proof of liability insurance; (2) event details & description; (3) schedule of events; (4) parking plans. PROHIBITED: Please note that livestock, exotic animals, explosives, loaded projectile firing devices, pinatas, water balloons, and commercial activities are prohibited on project lands unless written permission has been received from the District Commander. If commercial tents are permitted for your special event, please note that driving tent stakes into concrete or asphalt on project lands is prohibited.
