We always enjoy camping here! On of our favorite places. We did get our camper hit ,this time, by a piece of metal that a lawnmower through while the camp ground was being mowed. The lawn contractor said he didn’t have insurance to cover our damage but would pay our insurance deductible. I didn’t want to file with my insurance. I contacted the COE several times but never got their ruling if the contractor was liable. The contractor did pay my deductible.

I grew up visiting Shoal Bay and was excited to take my grandson for the first time. The lake was beautiful, and we had a wonderful time. However, our campsite was over grown with weeds, there were fire ants everywhere, and the playground was a mess. We filled up half a trash bag with trash and old socks. Wish it was being maintained better.
