This place is wonderful. Even though it is only about 30 minutes from our house, it remains a wonderful get away for us.

Shoal Bay is always one of our favorites and is so beautiful. We hiked the trail, fished and enjoyed ourselves with family. We also drove down to High Banks Twin Falls one day, which is a few miles away, but closer to us at Shoal Bay than where we live, so it was really nice. The only reason we are rating this stay a 3 star instead of a 5 is that we had some very loud campers beside us. Now loud doesn't really bother us too much until that loudness goes all the way until 1:00 am. We had to wear ear plugs to be able to sleep.

There were two bathrooms closed. I hope they open them soon. It was Spring Break and a bad time for the bathrooms to be closed.

This campsite is right next to the playground which is perfect for us. I was able to work remotely and still able to watch my kids play at the park from the campsite table. The bridge access to the playground is next to the campsite so there is quite a bit of foot traffic around the campsite during the day/evening so if that bothers you, you might consider picking a more secluded site.

We really like the park and lake. We only go there in the spring before the Flies. This park has way too many flies. They should be able to spray for them. The fish cleaning station needs fixed. As many people that fish this lake needs a decent fish cleaning station. We had to wait till 2:30 for the people in our spot to leave. Found out they only live 15 miles away but they left their campsite to go to church. Biggest problem with that was they went home after church to change cloths. Living that close to the park they could have went home parked the camper and then gone to church. I hate to have to wait on a campsite when the occupants are not there camping.
