We love this campground and usually visit every year as we have family from this area and lost loved ones in Elisabeth Hall Cemetery.

I’ve camped here for several years and the restrooms/showers are steadily getting worse each yaar. This year the water temperature in the showers were Luke warm at best. The fish cleaning station needs to be repaired and set up like the one at Lake Nimrod, AR (Quarry Cove Campground). On a good note, the new Attendant (Chad Freeman) is a very good host. If the swimming area is never open, take it out and put in an area to dock boats. Also, need some shelters installed over the picnic tables are the campsites. This campground makes enough money annually to make the changes possible.

The campground is beautiful and very popular. It was busy with lots of people fishing and taking hikes. We were unfortunately next to a group of young guys who were there to party late into the night. Not the fault of the camp hosts though.

Went here for the solar eclipse in 2024. It was a very nice campground. It's primarily for RVs but there were a couple of tent campers. The beach was temporarily closed to swimming but boaters were free to use the lake. The bathrooms have showers so you can avoid using your own water as much as practical. Felt about the right amount of secluded but close enough to civilization. Would gladly camp here again.

Hot showers. The bathroom and shower facility at the far side of the campground was much cleaner than the one near the entrance.
