Been going there 41 years. Hard to believe how ran down the facility has became. Such a shame from where it once was only due to lack of maintenance or responsibility.

We have camped at Shoal Bay for several years. The last couple of years the cleanliness of the park has went downhill. On our recent visit over spring break, the bathrooms were not kept clean. There was no hot water in the showers on the hill. The other bathrooms have a urinal and one of the women’s showers out of order. The trash containers were overflowing.

We much enjoyed kayaking and the hiking trails. Hot springs was a fun tourist outing that included a good hike also.

We had several issues with the camp ground,we have never had before. The first was the bathrooms were not kept clean like they have been for the past 10 years. The showers on the hill did not have hot water at all, and we were there 5 days. The trash bends had trash on the ground around them they were so full. We have never experienced these issues in the last 15 years of our camping, yet they charged more money and gave less. We love camping there but we will have to see improvements, if they are going to charge more money.

Dogs running loose, not on leashes; loud disturbing neighbors (drunk) all night one night; shower drain in women's bathroom stopped up and flooded floor, made it hard to get dressed without clothes getting wet. No rangers seen at all during 3 night 4 day stay.

Beautiful campground. The host was very helpful. It is off the beaten path, but worth the drive.
