The campout was wonderful. The park was quite accommodating. as was the staff that made it that way. Very well maintained!

Love this park! Close enough to home for a quick weekend get away. Some have made reference to the train noise but it has never bothered me.

Very friendly staff, clean bathrooms, good showers. Noise from the train and the dam were a bit loud at times, but it wasn't bad overnight. We saw quite a bit of poison ivy in the D loop campsites, but we ended up deciding to stay in F01 and didn't see poison ivy there. Would definitely stay again, it was convenient access to some rock climbing we were doing in the area, and it was easy to grab supplies in town as needed.

the weather was hot but we had a good site with good shade. the site was concrete and level.
we had a picnic table with a cover. we were close to the water with good views. there was a railroad track across the water but only heard the train a couple of times. the bathroom was close by and the shower was okay. the bathrooms could be cleaned better i saw spider webs all around the sinks, ceilings and walls.

It is a nice park older but nice. Our site was a little more sunny than we like but the view of the barges going through the lock was cool enough to offset that. We were there for the "Bargains Galore" yard sales weekend. The fishing is kind of subdued unless you bring a boat. The Walmart is small but you can get what you need, and there is a Harps grocery and a Dollar General, and plenty of eateries if you go that route. We will camp there again and try out different sites. All in all it was a quiet and enjoyable.

Occasionally will hear a train or a barge but it is a very nice place.

The grass needed mowing (a week ago)! The bathrooms are not well maintained. People ( not camping) are driving through the park at ALL hours, yet it is supposed to be closed after dark. It was just okay but I don’t think I would pay $60 to stay there again.
