The host was kind and generously provided informational brochures. The grounds for Rising Star are near immaculate. The restroom facilities, however, are near shot, though the warm shower was appreciated.

It beautiful here. The man and woman who ran the place were so sweet and welcoming. We called to let them know we were running late but ended up pulling in past the 10pm closing time. They still let us in and we’re super sweet about it all since we called and gave them a heads up. We did encounter a snake but it was in the rocks along the rivers edge so be careful and keep an eye out. We saw fish jumping out of the water and barges going down the river. Just wish they didn’t have to close for the winter. Will be going back again.

The camp ground was extremely clean and very nice. We LOVE it. The only problem we have is that they close for the winter

Nice being on the waterfront, but this campground needs renovations. You could tell they had high water recently but there was still a lot of brush lying around and the bathhouse needs renovated desperately.

Check in was very easy and friendly. The space was clean and had electric and water. View of the River was perfect. The bathrooms are a bit run-down and could use a lot of improvement. Not much to do in the area but relax and watch the river!
