What Guests Are Saying
Rising Star campground is a well-maintained and beautiful spot along the Arkansas River, offering level sites with great views and electrical hookups. The friendly host and clean bathrooms enhance the overall experience, making it a peaceful place for relaxation and fishing. While there were some minor issues with bugs and the dump station, visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere and plan to return.

Water/electric hookups. Many sites on water; but the woods ones are nice looking too. Lots of jon boats yesterday & today so I’m going to assume the fishing is good at the moment. Bathhouses are small but are just as clean as the ones at Catherine’s Landing— immaculate. Grass is mowed to perfection. Nice playground with slides/swings & ample area to run/throw a football. Every site has shaded picnic tables; they have mini pavilions over them. Nice large pavilion with a fireplace as well— perfect for a family gathering. (It has grills on each end plus a larger grill right by it) There is a small basketball court. Paved sites. Nice roads for riding bikes for kids within the site. You are not very close to your neighbors; these are not wall to wall. While it’s not “close to” anything, if you want to be outdoors, gather with friends/family and let kids play/fish.. it’s pretty great. Have fair/good phone signal. Dish tailgater connected easily to watch the Hogs play later; finding satellite signal was no problem. I think I’m sitting about half an hour from Taylor’s Steakhouse which is always worth your time. 10-12 mins to the closest truck stop gas station.
