Beautiful camp grounds right on the water. Play ground for the kids and swimming area on the beach. The best part about Horseshoe Bend…space! Everyone is spaced out giving plenty of room to enjoy family time.

We always love our time at Horseshoe Bend. The couple at the guard shack are welcoming & friendly. The sites are always clean & mostly easy to back our camper into (double check the length of the site you are booking as some are short). And the other campers are open & friendly.

Absolutely love this area! The couple at the gate are always so welcoming and kind. Every time we leave they always ask us when we are coming back. The campsites we have stayed at have all been wonderful, we could spend every weekend here!

BEAUTIFUL CAMPGROUND!!!.... HOWEVER...ITS GEARED TO CAMPERS NOT TENTS. THERE'S 188 CAMPSITES AND HARDLY ANY ARE GEARED TOWARDS TENTS. IF YOU HAVE A TENT SITE, ITS A VERY SMALL SQUARE. MOST OF THE TOILET FACILITIES ARE BLOCK PORT-A-JON STYLE. THERE ARE ONLY 2 RUNNING WATER BATHROOMS FOR ALL 188 CAMPSITES, TOTALING 4 MALES SHOWERS AND 4 FEMALE SHOWERS, 2 TOILETS, AND 4 SINKS. THAT BEING SAID... ON ONE SIDE OF THE CAMPGROUND, 1MALE AND 1 FEMALE SHOWER, DID NOT WORK. IT WAS REPORTED TO THE STAFF. THE REPAIRED THE SHOWER TURNING THE WATER ON...ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT IN DOING SO, THE SHOWER THEN FLOODED THE TOILET AREA WHEN USED BECAUSE THE SEAL AT THE SHOWER BOTTOM WAS FAULTY. NONE OF THE SHOWERS HAD BENCHES FOR PERSONAL ITEMS AND THERE WAS ONLY 1 HOOK IN THE MENS ROOM AND 1 HOOK IN THE WOMENS ROOM TO HANG YOUR CLEAN TOWELS OR CLOTHES ON WHILE SHOWERING. YOUR FORCED TOHANG YOUR CLOTHES ON THE DOOR WHICH IS SO CLOSE TO THE SHOWER THAT THEY GET WET WHILE YOU BATH. YOU REALLY DIDNT WANT TO PUT IT ON THE FLOOR, BRING PLASTIC BAGS!!
OTHER THAN THAT THE SCENARY IS AWESOME, PEACEFUL, AND THE STAFF WAS GREAT.

We were there for a week going to the craft fairs in the area. The ranger, gate attendants and all running the campground were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our time there very much and look forward to going back next fall.

Our first time to camp at this park (site #137). We stayed two nights and didn’t realize there wasn’t water connections until after we set up camp in our TT. The parking pad was semi level but not very level under the awning so we couldn’t really enjoy that space. We had a wonderful view of the lake and the camp sites were spaced out nicely. The modern bathhouse was about 1/4 mile from us and the “outhouse toilets” were across the street. They do have two pump out stations so that helped speed up our departure. Staff was friendly!

Great campsites. Most had plenty of space, ours did for sure. The bathrooms were kept clean, even on a busy weekend. Plan on going again!

There was no water hookup, we didn't know that only so of the sites have water. One shower house didn't work at all, the lights on the other one was in a timer in stead on a light sensor so it was dark in there. And they are small with no place to put you stuff. But the view was good and the area was clean.
