What Guests Are Saying
War Eagle Campground offers a beautiful and clean environment with well-maintained restrooms and showers, making it a pleasant place to camp. Visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and spacious sites that provide privacy. However, some challenges include limited water access at sites, narrow roads, and a few overgrown areas, making it less suitable for larger campers.

Campground was beautiful and well maintained. Thankful our state has destinations like this that are so well priced and accessible. Sites were hilly, but pretty standard for camping near a lake.

This is a neat little camping area with a lot of character, on a hillside with a lot of exposed rock. Very "Ozarks" :)
Many (but not all) of the spots have a tent area of packed gravel so you can have a level secure tent setup. Being on a hillside, with some sharp turns, some of the spots aren't usable if you're in a big class A.
The restroom/shower house is decent- not new but not ancient.
It's only open part of the year,

It was my first time to stay, and it was beautiful. Close to water and bathrooms. And it was quiet.

Beautiful and clean camp sites. Christie is really nice but seems to run a tight ship! The non-plumbed restrooms could have been a cleaner but the shower house was surprisingly clean.
