What Guests Are Saying
War Eagle Campground offers a beautiful and clean environment with well-maintained restrooms and showers, making it a pleasant place to camp. Visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and spacious sites that provide privacy. However, some challenges include limited water access at sites, narrow roads, and a few overgrown areas, making it less suitable for larger campers.

Nice shady, roomy sites. Restrooms are very clean and well maintained. The restrooms at War Eagle are so much better than a lot of the other Corp parks on Beaver Lake. Campground host is great. Good fishing on the White and War Eagle rivers. A great place to relax and unwind. We wish they stayed open later into the fall when the weather is a bit cooler, and the leaves are changing. This campground currently closes in mid-September.

Didnβt realize sites didnβt have water at each site so had to fill tank and run onboard pump for 3 days. Host was excellent, park had some recent storm damage with lots of limbs down to clean up.

Most camp sites were tough to get into with our 33β bumper pull. Also, this park is obviously low on the priority list of places to maintain. Most of the campers in here looked like long term residents. The cam0 hosts were very nice and friendly, but this is the first place Iβve been to where the host sire had 3 campers and several tents on it. Iβm used to my older camper being the least desirable one in the park. In this place, it was one of the best.

The park is beautiful and the showers are great! We enjoyed our stay very much, especially when a beaver came to our site to check us out!!

This site does not have close lake access unfortunately. It is tucked away in the woods on top of a steep hill that you will have hike to get to the swimming area. The swimming area had very low water and a smell. The beach was littered with trash. The showers are phenomenal, hot water and clean restrooms inside, but are a good distance away.

Very nice campground, clean restrooms, hot showers, beautiful surroundings. Quiet neighborhood and fellow campers were all quiet and respectful.
