We got there only to find out our road was blocked off with orange cones, though the water had receded. It wasn’t cleaned up in from logs and debris. They wanted us to back out (not much room especially for a novice person) then go down a wrong way road to only back up quite aways to get to our camp site. We ended up moving the cones that were blocking the road and moved the big logs so we could get to our camp site. The people next to us had to do the same thing. The next day the corp of engineers park rangers came and cleaned it up. If they know people have reservation and are coming in, they need to either have it cleaned up or let us know it’s blocked off

This is a beautiful lakeside/lakefront park. It was our first time to take our new Travel Trailer out for a spin. We went ahead of time and scouted out a good spot to reserve - lakefront and nicely wooded. It was a bit difficult to back into but my husband did great. Our RV is about 22 feet long. We learned a lot about RVing that you don't learn until you actually do it. We were glad we didn't go far from home, Walmart & Lowe’s! The Lake Store beside the Monte Ne Chicken Restaurant was a lifesaver too. With no water at a lot of sites, we discovered we needed several more 100 ft hoses to use together to reach from the communal water spigot to our site, but an insignificant detail now. We had a beautiful view! My husband had a lot of “private” bank for fishing. I enjoyed sitting in the beauty of the woods reading/absorbing the peace. The staff is attentive, friendly. While there we have had time to scout out a different site there at Horeshoe Bend for another trip in several months. We are definitely coming back!

No lot is level. The only shower was dirty and the one toilet plugged for two days.
The hosts that checked us in were great

Good spot, was a bit noisy with so many people nearby; but it's a public camping spot. You can expect that kind of thing. Everything else was great, and I look forward to camping here again soon!
