Such a beautiful spot, with all the trees and the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will most definitely return.

To improve the camping experience for our guests at all Beaver Lake campgrounds, the Check-Out time for campsite reservations will be adjusted from 3:00pm to 1:00pm on the day that reservation ends. This change will apply to all reservations beginning on or after April 1st, 2026, regardless of when the reservation was originally booked. Check-In time will remain 4:00pm on the day incoming reservations start. The additional time before incoming reservation holders may check in will allow Park Attendants, Cleaners, and Park Ranger staff to ensure that outgoing guests have not only vacated their sites, but that the facilities are fully operational, clean, and prepared to welcome incoming guests. As always, should you wish to make, modify, or cancel a reservation, you may do so from your Recreation.gov account or by calling 1-877-444-6777.We look forward to seeing you at Beaver Lake this recreation season!

Horseshoe Bend is highly praised for its beautiful natural surroundings, proximity to the lake, and peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for families and nature lovers. Campers enjoy the well-maintained sites, friendly staff, and various recreational activities like swimming and biking. However, some reviews note the need for improved bathroom facilities and water access, as well as occasional issues with noise and site accessibility.

Good spot, was a bit noisy with so many people nearby; but it's a public camping spot. You can expect that kind of thing. Everything else was great, and I look forward to camping here again soon!

No lot is level. The only shower was dirty and the one toilet plugged for two days.
The hosts that checked us in were great

This is a beautiful lakeside/lakefront park. It was our first time to take our new Travel Trailer out for a spin. We went ahead of time and scouted out a good spot to reserve - lakefront and nicely wooded. It was a bit difficult to back into but my husband did great. Our RV is about 22 ft long. We learned a lot about RVing that you don't learn until you actually do it. We were glad we didn't go far from home, Walmart & Lowe’s! The Lake Store beside the Monte Ne Chicken Restaurant was a lifesaver too. With no water at a lot of sites, we discovered we needed several more 100 ft hoses to use together to reach from the communal water spigot to our site, but an insignificant detail now. We had a beautiful view! My husband had a lot of “private” bank for fishing. I enjoyed sitting in the beauty of the woods reading/absorbing the peace. The staff is attentive, friendly. While there we have had time to scout out a different site there at Horeshoe Bend for another trip in several months. We are definitely coming back!
