To improve the camping experience for our guests at all Beaver Lake campgrounds, the Check-Out time for campsite reservations will be adjusted from 3:00pm to 1:00pm on the day that reservation ends. This change will apply to all reservations beginning on or after April 1st, 2026, regardless of when the reservation was originally booked. Check-In time will remain 4:00pm on the day incoming reservations start. The additional time before incoming reservation holders may check in will allow Park Attendants, Cleaners, and Park Ranger staff to ensure that outgoing guests have not only vacated their sites, but that the facilities are fully operational, clean, and prepared to welcome incoming guests. As always, should you wish to make, modify, or cancel a reservation, you may do so from your Recreation.gov account or by calling 1-877-444-6777.We look forward to seeing you at Beaver Lake this recreation season!

Horseshoe Bend is highly praised for its beautiful natural surroundings, proximity to the lake, and peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for families and nature lovers. Campers enjoy the well-maintained sites, friendly staff, and various recreational activities like swimming and biking. However, some reviews note the need for improved bathroom facilities and water access, as well as occasional issues with noise and site accessibility.

This was our second visit to Horseshoe Bend Campground. The campground is quiet and well kept. The scenery is outstanding. If you like camping in a quiet peaceful environment, Horseshoe Bend is the place to be.

Hosts are the best...very nice and helpful. Love the number of sites on the water. The East side bathroom/shower building was clean and water, though I like it hotter, was comfortable. A hook outside the shower door would be helpful, hanging things inside the shower isn't the best answer for a bathrobe or towel you want to keep dry.
The park was clean, people good, location great...I enjoyed camping at Horseshoe Bend!

Had a wonderful time until the buzzards got onto our camper roof and peeled off a section of our roof About a foot by 2 ft section of our roof while we were out fishing one morning and caused about $10,000 in damaged. Now have to have a new roof put on our camper. Hoping you could do something about the buzzards. Talked to several campers and they were discussed about the buzzard droppings on their campsite.
