Absolutely beautiful campground with gorgeous views of the lake and mountains. Perfect for kayaking, swimming, and biking. The only downside was the bathrooms and shower facilities weren’t the best.

As a young boy I lived about a 200 yards North of our campsite. So I am somewhat prejudiced. I love Lake Ouachita. One place you need to visit if you have time is Hickory Nut Mountain. From there you have a view of the entire lake. But for the experience of a lifetime, rent a boat and spend the day on the lake weaving in and around the nearly two hundred, tree covered islands. Or take your tent with you and spend the night on one of those islands. It is a great way to get back to nature . . .

We have always enjoyed Crystal Springs. It’s quiet, shaded, and plenty of things to do on the lake.

Loved our time there! The flooding forced us to move campsites, but we got a call with plenty of notice and both staff members we talked to were very kind and helpful. Would definitely be back!

Clean bathrooms, quiet park, a variety of sites to choose from tent camping to big trailers. Kids played on the beach all evening and we were within an hour of several other places to visit in Hot Springs and beyond. This made it a great jumping off point!
For those who need it (like my husband who never really takes a vacation), cell coverage was not a problem.
We would stay again if ever in the area!
