This has become one of our favorite spots and there are great sites in each loop. If you have a boat, bring it! There's a marina not too far that rents boats, too. Well-kept park with a friendly staff!

The campground was very nice with plenty of views of the lake. We were hoping for more color with the changing of the leaves but were told the drought had a negative effect. The second day it rained all day which limited our activities.

Original site #5 that we had booked was very uneven because gravel had washed down about a foot or two. When we went in July to check out our spot we asked a ranger about having gravel brought in. He assured us it would be fixed long before our October camping trip. When we arrived for our 10 day stay in October the site was just like it was in July - NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE! There was a ranger there at the time so we asked him about another site. Site #4 was the only one available for our 10 day stay. He changed our reservation to #4, which is a drive-through and NOT laid out in a way that is easy to get a camper in. The landscape timbers are not straight lije most sites, they are laid in 3 or 4 angles and there is a tree right in the drive so you can't just pull the camper through easily. It was also uneven, but not as bad as #5. We were only able to use one awning because of too many trees.

The Volunteer staff at the entrance was helpful. The different sections were not too well marked. However, the Burn Ban was posted lots of places. My site was too close to other campers and the dry conditions had robbed the lake inlet of its scenic atmosphere. Left 2 days early to travel to a better spot. Hope to return in the future.

The site was awesome with incredible views of lake and sunset. A frill, grill table, fire pit, lantern hook AND electric and water ready at your site, and park is quite clean.
