Crystal Springs offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with spacious sites and scenic views, especially near the lake. Many campers appreciate the cleanliness of the restrooms and the friendly ranger staff, as well as the various amenities like hiking trails and a playground. However, some guests noted maintenance issues, such as electrical problems and outdated facilities, which detracted slightly from their overall enjoyment.

Great!! I think there are too many spaces not available to occupy because they are un reservable but are left empty. I wonder if people cancel and then the space is not added back into the system. We had to move from one spot to another and then no one occupied the spot we moved from. Another spot we reserved later in the season totally disappeared off the map until it was too late to reserve I love being able to reserve but I think someone is messing with the system or their is a flaw. Something is wrong

We had a waterfront site and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the campground. The boaters were respectful of the no-wake zone and the restrooms were clean and well stocked.

A camper was in my campsite when I arrived to set up camp. He was unauthorized, and had left his camper unattended. I went to the camp host who contacted the park rangers as I had a written copy of my reservation. The Ranger said that the unauthorized camper had until 4:00pm to move his camper even though a note had been left saying they would return in 5 days. Contact was finally made with the party and they did show up to remove their camper. My concern is this party had set up in my site without any typer of reservation and yet they were trying to get me to move to another spot.

We had a great time for our first campout with our own camper. The playground was great, had a setup for young kids and one for older! All around we had a great experience!

No one was there to help us find our site. It was Saturday. We tried to call several times. No one would answer. We waited at the entrance for quite a while. None of the hosts came out of their campers to help us. There was no welcome packet with at least a map of where the campsite was. We came in backwards and had a time setting up. The site was incredibly unlevel. We saw other campers struggling to find their site and get level as well. It’s very tight and not big rig friendly. Not the best maintained we’ve seen of our COE experiences. We never met or was greeted by a host. We did have a ranger knocking on our door the next day after a 12 hour travel day waking us up wanting us to fill out a paper for our handicap cart. We WERE in the handicap site and had ZERO privacy. You cannot get to the dump station from site 22 with a large rig. You have to go around and we almost tipped over. This has been my least favorite COE we’ve visited. However- Hot Springs is not far away and it’s a phenomenal place to visit. We absolutely LOVED the area. Just not this campground. Also highly recommend the bbq and Mexican restaurants right outside the campground. Some of the best we’ve ever had.

We come once a year to fish. Location is perfect. The camp ground is always clean. We will come back again next year.

Easy to get into with our 42ft fifth wheel. However, it was difficult to back into our site (#40) because the road was narrow and we had nowhere to pull forward. But we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Beautiful scenery on Lake Ouachita. Lots of boat traffic. We spent a day in Little Rock and two days in Hot Springs. Also went to a horse race at Oaklawn. Great location!
