We like to be a little farther away from our neighbors than we were here. But it wasn’t too bad.
We took our stand up paddle boards to get on the lake but it’s 2 miles to the open waters of the lake. We did get to do a little bit of exploring along the small canals that lead out to the lake. The boat traffic was fierce and created a lot of waves.
All in all this place was pretty but aimed more at people who have motorized boats to get out to the lake.
We used our own bathroom so I can’t rate the bathrooms there.

Love coming to Crystal Springs park on Lake Ouachita every year. It’s been summer vacations for the past 20 years. Clear water and plenty of places to relax and swim.

Site 42 is perfect for families with kids who love to swim. You can swim right from the campsite while still being in the dedicated swim area. The spot stays sunny for a lot of the day, so bringing extra shade is a plus on hot summer days.

The tent only campsite is outside the campground, very very close to the road which goes to Marina and Resort, so there's a lot of disturbance from vehicle movement and trucks towing their boats.
The toilets and showers weren't in the best of their shape, with no soap dispensers in toilets.

This is a walk in campsite (tent only). Isolated for a campground and just what I was looking for. Camp hosts and ranger were polite and helpful. Don’t pass up having a libation the Compass Bar and Grill beside the marina. Overall A+ experience

Wow Crystal Springs used to be our favorite place to camp but now we will not go back. The bath houses were nasty, bugs, dirt, trash, and very hot. There was a stray dog that roamed around and caused the RV owners pets to bark and one time there was a dog fight. Campers with dogs had to stay alert for the stray dog coming into their sites, causing stress and not relaxing for their vacations. The park rangers were informed about the dog and did not do anything. The grass was overgrown everywhere and campers were weedeating their own areas. This place has really gone down and we will not return.

It was the perfect spot. I opened my door and all I could see was the lake and the trees.
