Old Post Road offers a clean, spacious, and well-maintained campground with friendly hosts, and excellent river views, making it a favorite for many visitors. Guests appreciated the amenities like the pavilion, boat ramp, and recreational activities, as well as the quiet atmosphere despite some nearby industrial noise. A beautiful, well kept park, with many trees, right on the river, and close to town. We stayed in Lot 33B and had some large trees and a nice view of the river. The picnic table wasn’t covered with a small pavilion. We walked around the park and saw many nice pavilions, tennis and basketball courts. We would definitely stay again.

Great park right on the river. Only negative is noise from the Olin plant that is next door. The noise is 24/7 non stop.
The park has a large day use area that is well maintained.

The pavilion I rented was "relatively" clean... I had to scrub several tables because of the grime/yuck on them. Had to sweep trash (not leaves) up before my guests arrived. The group in the pavilion next to me had to do the same thing. I completely understand that it was pouring rain the day before, but surely the park has some sort of cleaning crew that actually does their job???? I booked (and PAID) for this location expecting it to be clean and not need to be fixed up for a BASIC gathering.

Full hookups did not mean black water hook up at site, not a huge deal there’s an easy to use dump station there. Awesome place friendly people.
