What Guests Are Saying
Old Post Road offers a clean, spacious, and well-maintained campground with friendly hosts, and excellent river views, making it a favorite for many visitors. Guests appreciated the amenities like the pavilion, boat ramp, and recreational activities, as well as the quiet atmosphere despite some nearby industrial noise. Negative experiences included encounters with rude neighbors and issues with ants, but overall, the positive aspects of the campground's cleanliness and staff support stand out.

We always enjoy camping at this park. Love the price but would be willing to pay more if you would install sewer at all the sites. That would make it perfect! Please consider this. Thank you. Linda Herrin

I enjoyed my stay at Old Post Campground. I had a few things to do in own and this place was within a ten-minute drive. Mountain biking is something I look for when I find campgrounds, and the trails here are relatively easy and fun. Mt Nebo trails are within twenty minutes and are always a great ride. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained, and the park was quiet during my five-day stay. The price was good, and I recommend this park if you enjoying mountain biking or are looking for a relaxing stay by the Arkansas River.

We were there for 6 days and it was adequate. The biggest issue were the showers - they only stay on for about 3 seconds when you push the button so you have to constantly keep pushing it. Also, it takes forever for the water to get slightly warm, and it’s a bug unheated room so it’s overall a very cold experience. Otherwise, it had what we needed. Beware it does get quite windy!
