This site has lots of trees for beauty and shade. The spaces are not too close to each other and there’s history there for those history buffs.

Beautiful site backed up to the Arkansas River just below the L&D. Site were spaced out nicely with a paved space for the trailer and a separate space for the truck. Water and electric at each site with a dump station by the boat ramp. We’d stay here again.

Arkansas, you didn't disappoint. Beautiful campgrounds. Clean bathrooms, large spots and the most friendly camp hosts ever. We will definitely go back sometime.

First the pros: Perfectly level site, easy access, paved spacious sites, lots of mature trees for shade. 50 amp with water (no sewer.) Sufficient Verizon signal for streaming from our jetpack. Not a lot of OTA channels, but sufficient for us since we're not huge tv watchers. Nice one mile paved walking / biking trail around the soccer field next to the campground. Close to shopping, there's a Walmart within a few miles. Also within a few miles of Bona Dea Trails and Wildlife Sanctuary -- beautiful paved trails for biking and walking. Cons: No check in procedure, no map provided. Our site was not cleaned after the previous campers -- we had candy wrappers, face masks, paper towels, two bars of soap littering our site. All in plain view, should have been cleaned up after checkout. Another con was the proximity to International Paper plant -- the humming noise goes 24 hours a day (not on weekends). Also there was a chemical smell that we can only assume was coming from that plant. Not overpowering, most noticeable when the wind "blew the right way". The restrooms and showers needed attention -- not horrible but not what we look for.

We appreciated the extra wide paved sites, the paved roads and the wide spacing between sites. It is a lovely location. Next time we would enjoy a water front site. The bike trails were extensive as well as the disc golf course.

Beautiful wooded campground with large trees. Always quiet when we go there. Plenty of places to walk and enjoy nature. Deer come out at night on the pines side of the park. Recently added a spigot and hose at the dump station so you could clean out your sewer hoses after dumping. Great bonus addition! We love camping there :)

We stayed in a spot backing up to the river and it was perfect. The park is nice and clean and well kept. The bathrooms and showers were clean and sanitized. It’s close to Russellville if you want to grab a bite to eat away from camp food, or only about a 30 min drive to Petite Jean State Park. We will definitely be back.
