Very nice, clean campground. Clean showers. Sad that we never able to catch the visitor center open, as our motorcycle tour would start and end each day outside the hours of the center. We had a nice morning visit from on or the staff who came by to have a look at our bikes and shoot the breeze for a moment.
I would stay at this site again, when in the area. I very much enjoyed our tour of the Ozarks and our two nights here.

Beautiful place and very peaceful.
There is a single bathroom and some sites can be a walk to it.
The only negative is the raccoons.
They are not shy of humans and will get into everything.

Loved the campsite. Very roomy. Raccoons are very active here at night so make sure to keep all food packed away. Only negative would be all of the ants. Our campsite was covered with them everywhere.
The river was perfect. Our boys played in the water all day. Would love to come back some day.

Enjoyed our stay there. Showers (only 2 stalls with no privacy) should be improved to be equal to Corp of Engineers properties.

From Springfield, Missouri take U.S. Highway 65 south for 109 miles (175 km); then turn right at Ranger Road (follow signs) and drive another 2 miles (3.2 km) to visitor center and campground.
From Little Rock, Arkansas take Interstate 40 West for 34 miles (55 km), then exit "U.S. 65/Skyline Drive." From here continue on U.S. Highway 65 north for 74 miles (119 km) and turn left at Ranger Road (follow signs) to the visitor center and campground.
