First and foremost the loving staff there are very warm and welcoming. They were very helpful and willing to help make our experience more enjoyable. Ms. Amber and Mr. Ross, can’t thank them enough. True definition of southern hospitality. Amazing people. Our cabin was exactly what we wanted and expected. You’re in the forest, so don’t be surprised of all the bugs and other wildlife that come with it. However it’s best to spray yourself with bug spray and not settle in the grassy area. My wife and I got bit up pretty badly by chiggers. We are still itching as we type this out lol. The trail around the campgrounds is very nice and the views are great (especially at sunset, watch from one of the bluffs). The previous occupants prior to us, and messed with the kitchen layout. It caused the refrigerator to go out but the staff was quick to fix it. Overall, you cannot beat the year round price for the cabins. We will most definitely be coming back in the future.

The cabin rented was cute, however, the time of year is key. Humidity was 90% during our stay so everything in the cabin was damp. The onsite staff was responsive. The refrigerator stopped working during our stay and it was very quickly resolved and working again.
Beautiful scenery and the main trail around the camp area enjoyable. While taking a longer hike (7 miles) from the campground, we found trails to be narrow, overgrown with vegetation and lots of bugs (ticks). Bring bug spray if spending time outdoors.

I understand campground hosts can't watch everything all the time, but due to the campers next door to me it was just a horrible experience. The neighboring young adult campers were already drinking when I arrived and checked in at 1:00. They got nothing but louder and louder all day into the evening. I came to the mountain campground for a quiet weekend. The camp rules given to me state that there is a 24/7 Quiet Hours times. The more my neighbors drank, the louder they became, all 8 of them and it was non-stop. Of course they also had to crank up their music every so often for everyone to hear. There was a Groundskeeper for the camp that kept flying by all day (well over the posted campground speed limit) on his little scooter but he never paid any attention to the party of 8 next to me. Since I could see nothing was going to be done by management, and in their loud conversations I heard them say they were going to be there until Monday, I made up my mind to pack up and just head out 1st light Sunday morning. This place is advertised as a beautiful, quiet place to spend some time away. It wasn't. Waste of time and money.

The drive up to WRM is treacherous (you will drive cliffside on steep winding loose gravel for 45 mins) but the camping, views, hiking, and sunsets are worth it. Take a 4WD vehicle for your own safety.

Wonderful location in the middle of the forest, great CCC architecture, and excellent caretakers! Only hassle was the detour caused by the washed out road. Can't believe USFS hasn't repaired it yet.

The campsites were well maintained and clean. We enjoyed that we had space between our site and a neighbor's. The staff on hand were super helpful and kind.
We highly recommend the Rim Trail.
Beautiful area!

Amazing views! We rented one of the cabins which had everything we needed. I hiked the rim trail each morning and evening to watch sunrise and sunset. The hike down to the Cascades was tiring, but taking a dip in the pool under the falls made my day!

We stayed in the lodge for two nights in mid-April. It was heaven!! The lodge was clean and comfortable and the views from the patio were amazing. Hats off to the CCC crews who build the lodge, cabins, roads and trails and to the volunteers who updated the buildings.

Fantastic campground with wonderful trails and overlooks surrounding the property. Plan for a bit of wind with it being up high, but bring a camera and plan for time to soak in the views.
