Site #27 had no shade at all...2 sites next to us also had no shade. A lot of the other sites had some pretty good shade though. Sites around us were very close to each other, hard to allow 6 people to camp comfortably. It was just 2 of us so it was okay. We were out a majority of the day to avoid the sun. Luckily we had a canopy so make sure to bring one or shade of some sort! Lake Bass was really nice, water temperature was perfect for the hot weather.

Bass lake is beautiful and a nice sight. The host was really nice and helpful. The camping site it self at least the one i reserved was about 15 feet from the main road that goes around the lake so we heard a lot of traffic trough the evening and random loud cars at night. There were a lot of meat bee's at my site, no big deal its nature, but be prepared for theme. Besides the vehicle noise which it did quite down around 09:30pm, it was a good place to camp, we had a clear view of the stars and you can gather fire wood from downed pines in the area as long as the wood you collect fit in the fire rings. Only take what you need of downed wood. Also the host sells wood for about 8$ a bundle that lasts about 4-6 hours of good warning fire. There is a small store about 500 feet from the site so you can go buy "evening refreshments" and snacks.

The camp host made this trip wonderful as well as having a great camp site. I love being close to the lake And to the Forks restaurant when I don't feel like cooking. Will definitely be back!
