Great campground, wonderful hosts.
My two small critiques, no showers and the slips are quite short

This is a jewel we didn’t expect - we had a long drive from our house to Yosemite, and rather than drive straight through and arrive late (and in some darkness), or leave crazy early to make sunset, we opted to hit a campground close to the south entrance, stay one night, and leave in the morning to explore the entry to Yosemite and more casually head to Upper Pines campground, after mapping the trip out, I found Forks to be super convenient, so we headed there for the first night. We arrived after sunset, so it was dark, but we could see we were close to Bass Lake, so we were excited to wake up to the area. Campsite was well paved, very level, and really nice. After waking up, we hiked around a little, walked to the Forks store and restaurant, and had a great breakfast on their deck! We liked the area so much that we stopped on the other side of the lake on our drive home to have lunch on the deck at Duceys, and enjoy the lake view. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone, even if you’re not heading th Yosemite. Beautiful lake area with lots to do!
