What Guests Are Saying
Wishon Bass Lake offers a wonderful camping experience with clean amenities, friendly and helpful camp hosts, and easy access to the lake. Many guests appreciated the camp's beautiful location and the enjoyable atmosphere for families. However, some concerns were raised about noise disturbances during quiet hours, inconsiderate campers, and the need for better campsite leveling and bear-proof storage. Overall, the positive aspects of the campground make it a popular choice for many visitors.

Sites are very close together and if you’re at the top of the hill it’s a small hike down to the lake and back.
We stayed on a site closer to the marina and had a good cell reception (Verizon).
Camp host is very helpful and nice.
This campground is more for tents.
If you have an RV or a TT above 20ft don’t even think about it and most sites are impossible to back in even with a 20ft trailer due to the extremely narrow road with high concrete blocks from both sides of the road. There are trees and poles that also prevent you from taking the angles needed to access many of the sites.
Pull through sites (which are designated as “double” sites and cost double) are sometimes also too narrow for RVs.
We have a 20ft travel trailer and-it took a lot of back and forth navigation using the driveway of the site across from us to back into our site.
My guess is that on weekends tents groups are taking over this place and party.
Pay-showers and laundry rooms are located with an easy access at the Marina.
I think there was a bear walking around at night since I could hear people activating their car alarms but we didn’t see it. No bear boxes so come prepared to lock everything in you car. I saw a couple groups with a tow u haul box which they used as a bear box to store food items.

Beware that these lake view spots CANT accommodate small trailers. Ended up damaging my trailer and truck trying to get into these spots. Left us stranded 9 hrs from home with no camping spot available on the busy weekend. Had to call around daily and try to get last minute spots all weekend. Ended up being the trip from hell. Go stay at lupine if you have a trailer. Better views of the lake and closer. What a shame, I hope they reword the description so no one has to go through what we did.
