Wishon Bass Lake offers a lovely campground experience with great weather, private and spacious sites, and excellent access to Miller's Landing for boat rentals and amenities. Many campers appreciate the friendly and helpful camp host, who enhances their stay. Small narrow roads for trailers (which is already disclosed on website) but other than that it is a beautiful campground. Clean bathrooms, good location- walking distance to Miller’s Landing

Always love Bass Lake. The sites could be cleaned better but we always go through when we arrive and before we leave and make sure there is no trash —especially water bottle and beer bottle tops— left behind. The Bass Lake area as a whole has seen better days. Wish everyone would pick up after themselves

We had a great time at Bass Lake. We brought the kayaks and just carried them down to Miller's Landing and launched them from the shore.
Our campsite (lucky #13) at Wishon had almost no shade, and most of the land was on a slope which made it hard to find a flat spot to place a chair. But other than these minor issues, everything else was great. It also was convenient to have the Miller's Landing store so close in case we needed supplies.
I think we actually got to experience an earthquake while we were kayaking. We noticed that there were quite a few moderately sized waves for a few minutes even when no motorboats had been leaving wakes. We later heard that California had an earthquake during that time. Exciting stuff!

Getting There
From Fresno, California, take Highway 41 north through Oakhurst. Turn right on Forest Road 222 toward Bass Lake. Keep right for 3.5 mi to the campground registration office. Keep left, and continue to Wishon Bass Lake Campground.
Highway access
The campground is accessible via Highway 41, with a direct connection from Fresno to Oakhurst, approximately 25 miles away.

General
- Please register at the Bass Lake Camp Store.
- This facility has narrow, bumpy roads. Motorhomes over 24-feet or trailers over 20-feet are not advised.
- A host and security guard are on-site
- Two pets per site and leashed at all times.
- Please Note: One RV with tow vehicle for single site or one vehicle for single tent camping. Two RV’S with tow vehicle per double site or two vehicles for double tent only camping. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed. For current fire conditions or weather closures contact the Sierra National Forest Headquarters, (559) 297-0706.
- Reserved Sites will be held until the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect California's forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. For more information visit firewood.ca.gov.
