There was no potable water available, but the campground was open and park like with a nice beach nearby, The area around the campground is chapparal, not forest.

We did not know ahead that the water was non-potable (e-coli breakout). Thankfully we brought plenty of water. Maybe an email to upcoming reservations so that people know would be helpful.
