Nice clean & quiet campgrounds with great access to beach across the street, just watch out for the poison oak and especially the ticks.

Camp hosts were quite helpful, very chatty, no running water for camping, restrooms locked tight, ports-potty’s were available, area is BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL. Short jaunt across the street, couple minute hike down to the beach, beautiful there as well, Sand Beach, quietest camp we have ever been, excellent camping spot, BTW, there are pictures on Camp One that say they have photos of the camp sites by number, but it is a sham, the photos there have nothing to do with Plaskett Creek campground.

The campground is well-situated—very close to the beautiful Sand Dollar Beach and right along Pacific Coast Highway 1, which gets quite busy during the day. However, it was quiet in the evening. There were still a few spots available, even though the website showed the site as fully booked—something that surprised me. The two buildings containing flush toilets were closed. This meant that we had to use the composting toilets located outdoors. As you can imagine, that wasn't always a very pleasant experience.

It was a quiet campground near the Big Sur Highway. Could also go to part across the highway and view Sand Dollar beach and the ocean.
Drawbacks were that the restroom facilities were not open. There were many portapotties in the campground if you needed to use a facility. There was also no potable water available--be sure to come with plenty of water for your needs.
